March Update: Knitting Projects, Books & Everyday Moments

How did we suddenly end up in March? It feels like Christmas was just yesterday. Not long ago I was wrapping the last holiday orders and taking photos, and now somehow we’re already three months into the year, surrounded by new knitting projects and a growing list of audiobooks.
Every time I open my website, I promise myself I’ll start writing more—about life in Finland, the books I’m constantly listening to, and of course knitting. Somehow, though, the weeks pass and I write nothing.
But today, that finally changes.
Yes, it may already be March, but spring still feels a little far away. If you’re imagining sunshine and flowers, you might want to slow down for a moment. This morning actually started with a light layer of snow outside the window, which is a good reminder that winter isn’t quite ready to leave yet.
But honestly, snowy days have their own charm—especially when paired with a good book. Or in my case, audiobooks. I’ve been listening to them constantly lately, and my reading list has already reached 18 completed titles this year. I’d love to talk about them all, but that might be a story for another blog post. Whether I’ll actually write that post… well, we’ll see.
Knitting: Where All the Action Is
If there’s one thing I definitely haven’t slowed down on, it’s knitting. My needles have been busy almost every day, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s still the hobby that brings me the most joy.
So far this year, I’ve released the So Dijon Socks pattern, and another design—So Tiny Knits—will be launching very soon. After that, I’m planning a free pattern that will be just as carefully written and detailed as my paid ones. At this point, I feel like I could keep designing knitting patterns forever.
What I enjoy most is the entire creative journey. It starts with an idea, then comes the knitting, writing the instructions, filming tutorials, editing the videos, and adding subtitles. (Yes, I’m definitely someone who prefers captions over voiceovers.) It’s a lot of work, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
And the best part is that there are always more ideas waiting to become new projects.
So, here’s a look at what has been on my needles over the last couple of months. 🧶

Cozy Pieces Home is the first place we return to, and the last place we should feel lost in. Cozy Pieces was born not in a design studio or a marketing pitch — but in the stillness of a late afternoon, when the world felt too loud and one person longed for less. Less noise. Less chaos. Less of the fast, shiny, empty things. And in their place, we bring soft cotton shirts, warm wool blankets, and linen throws to wrap your days in comfort.
